Within the local district of Saffron Walden we have the full range of co-educational Scout Groups offering: Beaver Scout Colonies for ages 6-8, Cub Scout Packs 8-10, Scout Troops 10-14, Explorer Scout Units 14-18 and Scout Network 18-25. Along with the District Scout Headquarters, there are two Scout Groups in the town itself – 1st Saffron Walden and 5th Saffron Walden (Free Church). We also have Scout Groups in the outlying towns and villages of Newport, Thaxted, Clavering, Great Chesterford and Radwinter (but note that Clavering do not take Beaver Scouts and Radwinter is for Cub Scouts only).
