A number of volunteering roles in our District have arisen for people who are keen to help lead our young people during a time of change.
We are looking for people who would like to join a small team to work with the District Commissioner/District Lead Volunteer. There are several areas in which you could be useful:
- Working on a plan for the future of the District to ensure its continued growth.
- Looking at systems and processes to improve support to all adult volunteers.
- Developing ways to make sure Scouting in the District is attractive to young people and adults from all backgrounds.
These tasks will be undertaken in partnership with the senior leadership team designed to support the volunteering principles of the Scout Association. The organisation is in an exciting transformation phase which aims to promote volunteering and shared team work at District level.
Saffron Walden District has seven Groups covering Thaxted (& Carver Barracks), Chesterford, Clavering, Newport and Radwinter.
